Sometimes I don't have a rhyme or reason for what I put on, other than I have no choice but to get dressed any given day.  That usually results in me going with the first item I lay eyes on when I walk in my closet and building around it.  Today I decided to build around my long sleeve sheer crew neck.  Nothing special going on, but as I always say "you don't need a reason to look good", so I just get dressed every day to stay ready for what ever comes to the schedule.  Today I have some business meetings and conference calls to handle, so I decided to keep it light and simple;  light weight materials, with simple pairings.  I completed my look by pulling out my cotton midi skirt, a black vest, my favorite go to, pointy toe heels, and my outfit was complete.  Here's a peek at what wore.

I have things in my closet that I sometimes never get to waiting on a special occasion; so rather than do that I figure, "if you have it, wear it", as everyday is a special occasion to look and feel good.  For today's OOTD,  I was feeling a little sassy and decided to wear this fun embroidered fitted skirt. I have said it before, I love pieces that accent your curves in all the right places; and the skirt does just that.  I completed the look with an long asymmetrical sleeveless top and a blazer.  Simple, yet edgy and definitely and outfit that can take you from day to night if need be.  Now, call me crazy, but I truly got dressed to sit in my office all day and run a couple errands, but regardless I was ready for anything that came my way.  Here's a peek at what I wore.

Hello fashion friends, I have been quite busy this past week with work and events, and haven't had much time to blog.  I took the photos, however couldn't fit writing the the daily posts, so I decided to give you a quick view of the last four days of outfits that I wore.  I did everything from work, to happy hour to attending a fun filled Jazz Festival over the weekend.  So, here is a peak at the latest daily outfits that chose.        Keep reading for outfit details and more photos.

I am definitely a fan of wearing things that accentuate your shape, however sometimes a fun flowing dress is the way to go.  They can serve purposes, such as hiding trouble areas or even if you just want to wear something loose and comfortable because your having one of those days.  Some people may feel like they are wearing a sac, but if you accessories properly you will have a nice, fun and flirty outfit that makes you look and feel great.  I think they are a good choice if you need something quick and easy to run errands in, lunching with friends, shopping, or even for traveling.   Today I decided to pair my dress with another great pair of over the knee DV boots that I purchased a few fall seasons ago, along with my cut up sleeve blazer.  It is the perfect outfit for my day, as I handle business and then have plans to meet my girlfriend for dinner later in the evening.  Hears a peak at how I pulled together today's OOTD.  

Sometimes you need your outfit to take you from business during the day, to a fun evening out after work.  As a woman on the go I don't always have time to go back home and change in between my days events, I try to get dressed with that in mind that, so that when I have to make the superman change it is as painless as possible. Today's outfit of the day was the the difference between wearing leggings for the day and then replacing them with some suede over the knee boots for after work fun.   An easy fix that can be done in the car if you are running short on time to your destination. I love wearing black and white with a touch of red.  It's a simple and classic combo that truly gives a bold, sassy yet polished statement.  I paired a tunic dress with some leggings and red blazer, finished off with a pair of red patent heels, to handle my days business.   The after five option, whether you are meeting your girlfriends, going to a fun event, or even have a date, is a pair

On those busy days when I am moving and shaking I need to be presentable, professional, polished and still comfortable.  My go to outfit is always a great matte jersey sheath dress.  No tugging, adjusting, tucking needed; just get up and go.  One of my favorite designers for these great on the go dresses is Lauren, Ralph Lauren (green label).  They come in basic colors, some amazing prints, as well as other great vibrant solid colors.  My favorite thing about the dresses in this brand, besides no ironing needed, is how the material hugs my curves, making the dresses very flattering if you have an hourglass shape.  You can definitely find one for just about any occasion and not to mention, these dresses travel great and stay wrinkle free.  If you are on the hunt for a great fitting and comfortable sheath dress, I definitely suggest that you check this brand out.  Be sure you check out the evening dresses as well.  Here's a look at today's outfit.  

Black is always the perfect go to color as it can serve so many purposes.  It's basic, its timeless, let's not forget great for camouflaging and usually always looks good. The best part is you don't need a reason to wear it other than its simple, easy and you know 9 times out of 10 its always gonna work.  Today I layered a dress with some leggings, threw on my go to dark nude pumps, long statement necklace and I was out the door to handle my days business.  Nothing to it but to do it.  Here's a peek at what I wore.

Royal blue is one of my favorite colors, so any opportunity that I get to apply it to an outfit I run with it.  Today I went to my tentative give away pile and decided to try on a jacket, that was possibly on its way to a new home, with my leopard blouse.  Little did I know that pairing would capture my heart! Needless to say the jacket is staying, as I really wanted to keep it anyway being that its my favorite color.  So my outfit today was very electric, playful and colorful. The combination of the animal print topped off with that beautiful shade of blue just took the ensemble to another level.  Like I always say don't be afraid to get creative to make your outfits pop or become a great statement for the day. I paired my blouse and jacket with my textured leggings, finished off with some blue suede shoes.  I am so excited that the seasons are changing and I live in a dry climate as I am so ready to bring out all my suede booties and boots to wear.  For now, here's a peek

I love mixing and matching fabrics to create a fun and classic combination.  Today's outfit consists of denim and leather providing an edgy yet classy ensemble.  I paired a flared leather knee length skirt with a medium dark denim jacket and finished it off with red and gold accents.  Definitely a look that can speak volumes without evening saying a word.  I'd like to also mention that if you are wearing denim or dark colors it is always great to give it pop of color just to change your look from dull to fun and exciting.  Other colors that you could choose are royal blue, yellow, fuchsia pink or even a nude color accents.  Color enhancements can not only be with accessories but for instance with a denim tops you definitely have your choice of colored bottoms to spice up the outfit.  Don't be afraid to try different things to see what looks best on you.  May not get it right the first time but that's why we have plenty of options to choose from!  Here's a peek at wh

I was feeling a little better today and had to run a few errands so I threw on an outfit that wasn't too dressy but definitely comfortable and cute. Just because you are not feeling great doesn't mean you have to look terrible.  Most times if you look good you feel good, so its best practice to ensure that you put forth the effort to pull yourself together as often as possible, you will usually thank yourself later.  Today's outfit is effortless and simple yet colorful and fun.  Here's a peak at today's attire.

Sometimes you just need something quick and easy yet sophisticated to thrown on and tackle your days business.  Well, in those instances, I turn to a LBD, aka Little Black Dress and some pearls.  Definitely two classic and timeless wardrobe items that you can never go wrong with having multiple to choose from in your closet.  LBD's are a must have for many reasons: they are appropriate for just about any occasion, you can take them from day to night and the color is flattering on just about everyone.  This particular dress is a fitted sweater dress that has a leather trim around the neck;  one of those great off price store purchases that I snatched up because it was such a fabulous find at a steal of a deal.  Pearls are also a necessity because they definitely can add that feminine touch while also giving a touch a class.  Here's a peak at my outfit of the day.
