Maxin out Monday - Denim Jacket & Maxi Dress

There is nothing better than a great maxi dress!  It's a one stop shop; comfy, cute and well put together for just about anything that comes up in a low key kind of day.  I had to jump up and run errands today and handle a few items of business, but without a lot of time to get myself together, what better piece of clothing to pull out the closet than a great dress to prance around in all day.  I have this motto that when I find a great piece, I have to have it in every color;  so of course I bought this dress in black with royal blue along with some wide leg pants that were the same pattern.  All three pieces are a staple in my ready to wear outfits spur of the moment.  Here's a peek at one of my favorite maxi dresses.

Something about wearing all black says bossy to me.  The look and feel of this color makes such a powerful statement and you can usually never go wrong no matter what size you are, as it is the most flattering and forgiving color one can wear.  I love bright and beautiful colors but black is definitely a BSM favorite and absolute go to! Shades of Pink - Pink & Black Dress and Pink Top & Black Leather Skirt

Pink is a universal color that looks good on almost everyone, including the gentlemen.  Some shades definitely pop more so than others.  I truly love the dramatic look of fuchsia pink, it is vibrant and makes a very bold statement, where as the softer pink is very classic and timeless. In today's post I am giving you two different looks with two different shades of pink. The first look has a sassy and bold appeal.  I paired my long sleeve shift dress with some leggings and black knee high boots with gold accents.  This fuchsia shade definitely pops and makes a statement that definitely needs no introduction.  Where as the second look, has a touch of classy sophistication appeal to it.  The soft pink top finished off with a faux leather pencil skirt, pearls and ankle strap heels gives you subtle sexy look.  Here's a peek at the outfits I pulled together.

Fun & Flirty Combos - Denim shirt, Leather Skirt & Red Heels

I love mixing and matching fabrics to create a fun and classic combination.  Today's outfit consists of denim and leather providing an edgy yet classy ensemble.  I paired a flared leather knee length skirt with a medium dark denim jacket and finished it off with red and gold accents.  Definitely a look that can speak volumes without evening saying a word.  I'd like to also mention that if you are wearing denim or dark colors it is always great to give it pop of color just to change your look from dull to fun and exciting.  Other colors that you could choose are royal blue, yellow, fuchsia pink or even a nude color accents.  Color enhancements can not only be with accessories but for instance with a denim tops you definitely have your choice of colored bottoms to spice up the outfit.  Don't be afraid to try different things to see what looks best on you.  May not get it right the first time but that's why we have plenty of options to choose from! ...
