I'M BACK - Quick Update

Hello BSM readers, I am so sorry for the long hiatus, but I am back and ready to get back into the daily swing of things bringing you outfits, BSM beauty bits and so much more.  But first I want to let you all know what I have been up to.   I have been crazy busy with multiple work projects, traveling, personal projects and also ensuring I stay true to my daily workouts.  I have definitely seen results in doing so and I recommend that if you are not a person that workouts you should try and incorporate some sort of daily fitness into your life.  Whether you are a runner or even something as simple as walking at least 20-30 mins a day, it can make a difference.   It definitely helps me stay focused throughout the day and most important of all, I feel absolutely amazing everyday that I do workout and truly notice a difference if I slack off and miss too many days.  I go to the gym and ride a spin bike for 20 miles (usually takes me 45 to 50 mins) and I lift weights.  That being said, I have also shaped up a little bit since my last post in April, losing inches and overall toning, so there has been a few changes in my measurements since starting the blog.

My updated measurements are as follows:
Measurements - 32 – 27 – 37
Height – 5’9”
Weight – 172
Inseam – 34
Pants Size – 8-10 or 30 - 31
Dress Size – 8 -10 
Shirt size – M to L
Shoe Size - 9.5 to 10
I like to provide measurements because I want to be as detailed as possible, remembering my own searches on blogs prior to starting mine, and how I would wonder how something may fit me compared to the person I was looking at but wasn't sure because I had nothing to base it on other than a visual picture.  So I hope this bit of info may be helpful to some of you when checking out my outfits and possibly looking into getting some of the items for yourself.

Bossy in Black - Turtle Neck, Faux Leather Skirt, Ankle Booties

Something about wearing all black says bossy to me.  The look and feel of this color makes such a powerful statement and you can usually never go wrong no matter what size you are, as it is the most flattering and forgiving color one can wear.  I love bright and beautiful colors but black is definitely a BSM favorite and absolute go to! For today's OOTD post, I chose a simple turtle neck, tiered leather skirt, ankle booties and topped it off with some classy long pearls.  My favorite items of this look are the the skirt and the booties.  I have always appreciated the look of a great leather pencil skirt.  If you find the perfect fit and length, it just hugs and accentuates your curves in all the right places, proving a very sophisticated and classy appeal.  The ankle booties are a great alternative to a pump. Shades of Pink - Pink & Black Dress and Pink Top & Black Leather Skirt

Pink is a universal color that looks good on almost everyone, including the gentlemen.  Some shades definitely pop more so than others.  I truly love the dramatic look of fuchsia pink, it is vibrant and makes a very bold statement, where as the softer pink is very classic and timeless. In today's post I am giving you two different looks with two different shades of pink. The first look has a sassy and bold appeal.  I paired my long sleeve shift dress with some leggings and black knee high boots with gold accents.  This fuchsia shade definitely pops and makes a statement that definitely needs no introduction.  Where as the second look, has a touch of classy sophistication appeal to it.  The soft pink top finished off with a faux leather pencil skirt, pearls and ankle strap heels gives you subtle sexy look.  Here's a peek at the outfits I pulled together.

Every day is a Special Occasion - Embroidered Skirt, Tank and Blazer

I have things in my closet that I sometimes never get to waiting on a special occasion; so rather than do that I figure, "if you have it, wear it", as everyday is a special occasion to look and feel good.  For today's OOTD,  I was feeling a little sassy and decided to wear this fun embroidered fitted skirt. I have said it before, I love pieces that accent your curves in all the right places; and the skirt does just that.  I completed the look with an long asymmetrical sleeveless top and a blazer.  Simple, yet edgy and definitely and outfit that can take you from day to night if need be.  Now, call me crazy, but I truly got dressed to sit in my office all day and run a couple errands, but regardless I was ready for anything that came my way.  Here's a peek at what I wore.
