Sunday Fun-Day - Stumbling upon new boutiques around town

So today was great day, I snagged 3 pair of wide leg pants that I have been on the hunt for, for quite some time.  I ran into a lady the other day and she told me about a boutique shop that was by a neighborhood grocery store, that I just so happen to stop by today.  I am so glad that I did, today was my lucky day, because I truly lucked out when I came upon these pants and copped them on sale.  I love a great bargain especially for items on my wish list.  The best part is that the pants are super long, an absolute must and plus for us tall girls out here.  It can be hard to find pants that actually are cute and long enough to make the cut.  I can't wait to wear them and piece together and outfit to post for you guys.  But in the meantime, if you are in IL, CA or AZ you are in luck as this great boutique could be near you, so that you can hopefully go in and find some great pieces to add to your wardrobes as well.  If you are not so lucky to be able to visit an actual location, you can shop online as well at http://www.shopalix.com.  They have everything from accessories to dresses, basic tanks, trendy items as well as some timeless staple pieces.  Here are some pics of the pants that I love so much but because they didn't have my prints online, I am posting some others for you all to see.  These pants are great for travel, casual weekend wear, or even to dress up and attend a special event.  Options are limitless.

Something about wearing all black says bossy to me.  The look and feel of this color makes such a powerful statement and you can usually never go wrong no matter what size you are, as it is the most flattering and forgiving color one can wear.  I love bright and beautiful colors but black is definitely a BSM favorite and absolute go to! Shades of Pink - Pink & Black Dress and Pink Top & Black Leather Skirt

Pink is a universal color that looks good on almost everyone, including the gentlemen.  Some shades definitely pop more so than others.  I truly love the dramatic look of fuchsia pink, it is vibrant and makes a very bold statement, where as the softer pink is very classic and timeless. In today's post I am giving you two different looks with two different shades of pink. The first look has a sassy and bold appeal.  I paired my long sleeve shift dress with some leggings and black knee high boots with gold accents.  This fuchsia shade definitely pops and makes a statement that definitely needs no introduction.  Where as the second look, has a touch of classy sophistication appeal to it.  The soft pink top finished off with a faux leather pencil skirt, pearls and ankle strap heels gives you subtle sexy look.  Here's a peek at the outfits I pulled together.

Every day is a Special Occasion - Embroidered Skirt, Tank and Blazer

I have things in my closet that I sometimes never get to waiting on a special occasion; so rather than do that I figure, "if you have it, wear it", as everyday is a special occasion to look and feel good.  For today's OOTD,  I was feeling a little sassy and decided to wear this fun embroidered fitted skirt. I have said it before, I love pieces that accent your curves in all the right places; and the skirt does just that.  I completed the look with an long asymmetrical sleeveless top and a blazer.  Simple, yet edgy and definitely and outfit that can take you from day to night if need be.  Now, call me crazy, but I truly got dressed to sit in my office all day and run a couple errands, but regardless I was ready for anything that came my way.  Here's a peek at what I wore.
