Feeling Holiday Green - Hunter Green Dress, Black Blazer & Suede Over the Knee Boots

One of my favorite colors during this time of year is hunter green.  As the weather begins to cool and the holiday season rolls in, something about this color puts me in a warm spirit.  I can never find it as often as I like but when I do I am sure to snatch it up as it is a very flattering color on brown skin tones.

I found this great dress at the Dillard's clearance center on one of my random shopping days that I was on the hunt for something else.  I was actually looking for another dress in the same color and had no luck, but then this little Kenneth Cole number jumped out at me and I was so excited.  I love the zipper detail in the back, as it adds a nice accent to a simple body flattering dress.  Sometimes it doesn't take much to make a powerful statement and this dress does the trick.  From the color, to the detail, to the fit, I know that I found a classic and timeless piece that will have a place in my closet for awhile.

I completed this outfit with a asymmetrical front blazer and some suede over the knee boots.  Being that two of my favorite wardrobe items are jackets and boots, I can never get enough of them and always get excited at the opportunity to pull them out of hibernation.  With the temperature finally dropping in my city I am able to put these items into motion.  So you will definitely be seeing more of these combos in the near future.  But for now, take a peek at today's OOTD.

Something about wearing all black says bossy to me.  The look and feel of this color makes such a powerful statement and you can usually never go wrong no matter what size you are, as it is the most flattering and forgiving color one can wear.  I love bright and beautiful colors but black is definitely a BSM favorite and absolute go to! Shades of Pink - Pink & Black Dress and Pink Top & Black Leather Skirt

Pink is a universal color that looks good on almost everyone, including the gentlemen.  Some shades definitely pop more so than others.  I truly love the dramatic look of fuchsia pink, it is vibrant and makes a very bold statement, where as the softer pink is very classic and timeless. In today's post I am giving you two different looks with two different shades of pink. The first look has a sassy and bold appeal.  I paired my long sleeve shift dress with some leggings and black knee high boots with gold accents.  This fuchsia shade definitely pops and makes a statement that definitely needs no introduction.  Where as the second look, has a touch of classy sophistication appeal to it.  The soft pink top finished off with a faux leather pencil skirt, pearls and ankle strap heels gives you subtle sexy look.  Here's a peek at the outfits I pulled together.

Every day is a Special Occasion - Embroidered Skirt, Tank and Blazer

I have things in my closet that I sometimes never get to waiting on a special occasion; so rather than do that I figure, "if you have it, wear it", as everyday is a special occasion to look and feel good.  For today's OOTD,  I was feeling a little sassy and decided to wear this fun embroidered fitted skirt. I have said it before, I love pieces that accent your curves in all the right places; and the skirt does just that.  I completed the look with an long asymmetrical sleeveless top and a blazer.  Simple, yet edgy and definitely and outfit that can take you from day to night if need be.  Now, call me crazy, but I truly got dressed to sit in my office all day and run a couple errands, but regardless I was ready for anything that came my way.  Here's a peek at what I wore.
