We all have some article of clothing that we just can't live without, and when you find the perfect one you just have to rave about it.  I love leggings and pencil skirts!  They are easy to wear and can be paired with a great top and/or blazer to give you a quick pulled together, polished outfit.  For many years, my favorite and go to brand for leggings has been BCBG.  I will always stay true to them as they are brand that has been so amazing for the fit needs of my body. They also come out with some really nice variations and textures each season to keep your wardrobe spicy.   I do, however, have a new contender for just a basic legging, that I am quite pleased with and very excited about.

Typically, I buy my summer and fall pencil skirts from J.Crew because they have great colors and they fit like a glove, however, I had never looked into any other bottoms in the store until this past weekend when I was introduced to the Pixie pants.  I can't say enough about these leggings.  They are made with a stretch ponte fabric, so they are very comfortable, as well as supportive to our special needs.  They form to the body so well and almost have the look of a pant, as they are not too thin, where you would have to worry about them being see-thru or showing any unwelcoming body flaws.   They come in charcoal, black and navy.  Another plus is that they come in short, regular and tall, so no matter your height you will be accommodated.  If you are on the hunt for a great pair of leggings that look good and will last you for a long time I suggest you go try these on.

Something about wearing all black says bossy to me.  The look and feel of this color makes such a powerful statement and you can usually never go wrong no matter what size you are, as it is the most flattering and forgiving color one can wear.  I love bright and beautiful colors but black is definitely a BSM favorite and absolute go to! Shades of Pink - Pink & Black Dress and Pink Top & Black Leather Skirt

Pink is a universal color that looks good on almost everyone, including the gentlemen.  Some shades definitely pop more so than others.  I truly love the dramatic look of fuchsia pink, it is vibrant and makes a very bold statement, where as the softer pink is very classic and timeless. In today's post I am giving you two different looks with two different shades of pink. The first look has a sassy and bold appeal.  I paired my long sleeve shift dress with some leggings and black knee high boots with gold accents.  This fuchsia shade definitely pops and makes a statement that definitely needs no introduction.  Where as the second look, has a touch of classy sophistication appeal to it.  The soft pink top finished off with a faux leather pencil skirt, pearls and ankle strap heels gives you subtle sexy look.  Here's a peek at the outfits I pulled together.

Every day is a Special Occasion - Embroidered Skirt, Tank and Blazer

I have things in my closet that I sometimes never get to waiting on a special occasion; so rather than do that I figure, "if you have it, wear it", as everyday is a special occasion to look and feel good.  For today's OOTD,  I was feeling a little sassy and decided to wear this fun embroidered fitted skirt. I have said it before, I love pieces that accent your curves in all the right places; and the skirt does just that.  I completed the look with an long asymmetrical sleeveless top and a blazer.  Simple, yet edgy and definitely and outfit that can take you from day to night if need be.  Now, call me crazy, but I truly got dressed to sit in my office all day and run a couple errands, but regardless I was ready for anything that came my way.  Here's a peek at what I wore.
